Contributing Factors and Causes
Most headaches are multifactorial, meaning that there can be a number of contributing factors that come together to create the headache. One of the most common and underappreciated contributing factor is the neck not moving correctly or being misaligned.
Cervicogenic: this means from the cervical spine. This is because of the attachment of the muscle that travels from the neck to the base of the skull. Also because of the close relationship of the nervous system to the vertebrae, the bones of the neck.
